That's Albion Rovers FIFTEENTH postponement of the season
![]() The first one was against Queens' Park in August. When you're supposed to be playing at Hampden in August and the pitch is unplayable you're entitled to think it may not be your lucky year for getting games played and so it has proved. |

Surely the season will be extended? Our last game is meant to be 1st of May but between now and then we only have one free Tuesday which will of course be taken up by today's postponed game... And the fat we have a home game on Tuesday and the pitch still in an unplayable state means that we'll either have to play it on a Thursday or have it extended.

Would make sense in divisions 2 and 3 at least. Might yet be the odd SFL1 player in a minor World Cup Squad I suppose and two teams from that division still in the Cup so I suppose they have to be careful at that level just in case. But then there have been fewer games postponed in the first division too so maybe less need.

Play offs cause problems as well though, if you extend the D2 season then you've just also extended the D1 season for the 2nd bottom team. Though Raith are a postponement away from being out of days to play as well.

Raith don't even need to be unlucky - if they have the good luck to beat Dundee that will be another league game postponed for them on semi final weekend. |

Extending the season will be a nightmare due to players' contracts running out.
Teams will play Saturday-Monday-Wednesday-Saturday to clear the backlog.

I think that depends. If one or two teams have to play four games in a week once or twice that's one thing (and that's pretty much where we are now) but if there are many more postponements I don't know - the pressure for an extension is already building in some quarters. It'll depend how many teams are affected I suspect (and how much economic clout they have!) |
