After six wins on the bounce, United take on Falkirk at the Falkirk stadium. There are newer easy matches when playing in Falkirk and that has been proven recently with us just having the one league victory in Falkirk since their return to the league a few seasons ago.

The bairns have started to get victories on the board and now have a semi-final to look forward to like ourselves. They have won the last two in all competitions after picking up an impressive victory at Rugby Park last Saturday. They will no doubt be fired up for tomorrow’s match and it promises to be an exciting match.

Mihael Kovacevic returns to the squad whilst Jon Daly will again be missing through a groin injury.

Probable Team

Zaluska

Dillon Wilkie Dods Dixon

Flood S.Robertson Gomis Conway

Sandaza O’Donovan

Kick-off: 3:00PM

Referee : Iain Brines

Venue   : Falkirk Stadium

Mihael you would say will miss out for this one but you do wonder when we will freshen it up a bit as no doubt the coaching staff are considering it. I would personally rather we freshen it up on Tuesday night as anything we get from that game is a bonus with game like Falkirk and Aberdeen are the ones we really need to win.

Admission Prices

Admission prices are £21 for adults and £13 for concessions.

Previous Meetings

23rd February 2008, 3PM kick-off, Tannadice, Dundee United 0-0 Falkirk

United miss several chances with Mark De Vries being the main culprit in this one. Falkirk very rarely threatened and it was a travesty this game ended goal-less.

8th December 2007, 3PM kick-off, Falkirk Stadium, Falkirk 3-0 Dundee United

One of the worst defensive performances we’ve probably seen under Craig Levein with Lee Wilkie gifting Falkirk an early lead from then on it was always going to be a struggle. Barrett and Higdon got the second and third goals and December was turning into a disaster for United.

25th September 2007, 7:45 PM kick-off, Falkirk Stadium, Falkirk 0-1 Dundee United

A Lee Wilkie heder saw United ease into the next round of the CIS Cup though that was only half the story with Falkirk’s Patrick Cregg missing a penalty with the scores at 0-0 at that moment in time

1st September 2007, 3 PM kick-off, Tannadice, Dundee United 2-0 Falkirk

Second half goals from Noel Hunt and a wonderful Barry Robson seen United clinch the points with clinical finishing being the difference between the two sides.

Dangermen

You don’t know what your going to get from Falkirk their either brilliant or pretty poor but unfortunately for us they always seem to have one of their good days when we come to town. They’ve got some pretty tidy players particularly in midfield and Scott Arfield in particular has impressed me, he certainly looks like he’ll have a bright future in the game.

Weather Forecast

The weather’s been pretty decent during the week and it should be the same for tomorrow with it being around eight degrees.

Prediction: Falkirk 1-1 Dundee United
