Well, keep it going and before we know it, we'll have a County contingent on here! The further North we can get the better!

I live in Tain, probably not too far from you, but support United ??? :headbang: :bananathumb: :utdscarf:

How many more of your antler heided kind can you bring here? 8)

Great start for County this season so far though eh?

After 2 games hard to say. The Ayr game was good, even though Brady seems to be a hothead. Against the local Elgin boys we were dreadful in the first half. No passing expect from long balls from Dowie/Keddie, both who struggle to pass three feet let alone 30 odd yards.

Still early days.

Niall

Were you away to Elgin? Elgin's park is rotten anyway, everyone seems to struggle travelling there.

Still, 3-1 isn't bad, it gets you through.

The boy Barrowman sounds like he's doing a job for you.

Yeah, we'll see about that, though Dundee could help if Sammy plays.

Nial - No, that was a home game, only about 500-600 I guess, no official attendance given.

Typical for a midweek game, I guess. Would be good to see County further up the leagues though, doesn't seem right for them to be down so far!

We are were we deserve to be after last year. Hopefully Dick is the man to bring us back up.

Well, that cant be denied! I've just always thought the size of the club, the catchment and the support, they could easily be as big as Falkirk, St Mirren or Dunfermline, in terms of support and stature.

Nah, he's the backup keeper. So unless Ludo is injured on Saturday or in training, Samson will be on the bench.

On Ceefax, the attendance was listed as 1,100.

Unfortunately ICT got there befroe us :brickwall:. Mind you I would rather watch County play Berwick on a cold Sat afternoon in December with maybe some atmosphere, than watch ICT play Gretna on same type of day in that soulless stadium.

Rant over.

So whats you're thoughts on United so far?

Well, like yourselves, it's very early to be making guesses on how we'll do but I'm delighted with the approach, and attitude, which has been a big problem for us -- as long as we can keep the head, and more importantly find a striker, we can hope for top six, at least.

I know what you mean about ICT - watching them, or even having to sit in their ground is like skiing down a razor blade, using my testicles for breaks.

Dang it. Can't believe the attendance is given at 1,100, must have counted legs instead of bodies.

For a midweek league cup tie, 1100 is great -- most 1st division sides would be lucky to get that.

Clyde only had 892, Livi 1,300 and Hamilton a dismal 554. The atmosphere must have been like a bounce game.

Many fans have always suspected that attendance figures announced by County are not totally correct, I think they add in the season ticket holders weather they arrive or not. To their credit Elgin brought a good number of fans along considering it was a midweek game.

Just wanna say thanks to everyone. It's refreshing to find a message board which welcomes people rather than ignore them.

Having said that most people seem to support Dundee or Dundee Utd, which depending on results, the above may chance :)

As quickly as you were on Mackie, the lovely new County board vanished! Never mind, hope you'll stick around and bring more County fans - and maybe there'll be justification for one in the future!
