brilliant chance for queens there, totally wasted though.

Cant' tell from the pictures what the allocation is, is it locals in the big terracing?

Dunfermline 1 up

Think Boyd was just offside for the run that led to the goal.
Rothen, Mendes and Boyd before his booking have all gone down with little or no contact. Good to see the ref booking Boyd.
Just a shame that UEFA changed their mind on the Eduardo dive. Would have been funny to see Boyd banned by UEFA for cheating. Wonder what Gordon Smith will have to say about it.....

Notice there's a Burns and a Harris playing for QoS. Willing the commentator to say "Burns and Harris stationary there.....";D

ProfFrink
23-09-2009, 19:08
ha ha, probably only Spency would have a chance of noticing that at the BBC though.

Have spotted that the back of shirt sponsor for QoS (Hardie) is also a sponsor of my brothers rally team. Can't remember what they do though...

That's Boyd's third dive of the game. Would love to see him sent off for diving.
(Was that another one?)

how many chances do queens have to have before they score?
This is as bad as watching United.

Skippy scores for them.

In Carling cup Hull are 3-0 down to Everton at home :). Always good to see Phil Browns team getting a doing ;D.

Aye he certainly wants to have Bougherras' babies

ProfFrink

I feel sick, that looked painful.
(The queens player dragging his ankle not the thought of Bougheras babies. Thoguh that's probably also vomit inducing.)

Only just put the match on Gripper?

Seems to be pretty much confirming to me that
1) Rangers are poor this year
2) 1st Division isn't really any worse than the bottom of the SPL
3) Novo is an arse

0 - 2 :-(

Jammy gits....as per usual. 2 questionable offside runs for their goals (hard to tell from the BBC cameras)....and relying on Alexander to make a couple of quality saves to keep them in it. Shame Queens left scoring so late.
They were easily the better side.

Queen of the South played really well and with all their chances should have got it to Extra-Time.

Boyd continues to make friends and influence people all across the country...

KRIS BOYD'S face matched the colour of his crimson shirt as an Eduardo-style dive marred Rangers' hard-fought victory.
The sheepish striker found himself at the centre of a cheating storm as Walter Smith's men booked their place in the Co-operative Insurance Cup quarter-finals. The win was overshadowed by Boyd's crude attempt to con ref Willie Collum into a penalty award.
The Rangers hitman was booked for throwing himself to the floor as Ludovic Roy dived at his feet.
Quickly realising the error of his ways an embarrassed looking Boyd immediately held up his hands to the playacting although by then the damage had been done.
He was jeered throughout the rest of the match by the home supporters...

Can't believe it. So unlike him.

Only after he'd been rumbled, though. At least that's how I took it from the article.

I like a man who's honest enough to admit he's a cheat!

Had Boyd won a penalty and seen the player booked or sent off, would he have admitted it then?

:)

I would have given Body the benefit of the doubt as it's not loike he has a history diving.

Just watched the clip on the BBC website. Looks like Boyd went down in the QoS box three times with no encouragement from the defenders. Think the poor guy must have vertigo, or an inner ear problem.

proud-2-b-an-arab, that clip still makes my blood boil. I hate Boyd a ridiculous amount.

It seems Stevie Tosh has broken his leg and done his knee ligaments at the same time.

Regarding the game, Im not too sure what any of the commentators were saying after about half an hour. I had to mute the telly. I couldnt put up with the overly loud hun spouting his "party songs" every 2 mins. Did anybody else notice this tube? How on earth was this turd not thrown out! Is it just me or do the bigoted hoardes get worse when travelling to smaller grounds or is it just the secluded atmosphere that makes it stand out?

ArabMatt

to be fair to boyd (did i just say that?) its not the worst kind of dive IMO...

hes anticipated contact - it hasnt came. hes admitted hes wrong, and the game goes on. feck knows what hes thinking when he goes down pretty easily another two times though - that was a bit silly.

he is still a ***** though!

and that video that p-2-b-a-a just posted still makes me mad too, one of the most ridiculous dives ive ever seen - its laughable, really.

FamousToepoke
25-09-2009, 22:21
In other words, he's dived. And, in my opinion, so blatantly (and so ineptly) that all he can do is apologise. There was no contact, he should have stayed on his feet. For all Boyd knew the ref might have been unsighted and actually ended up giving him the penalty. And I honestly don't think he'd have been admitting his dive and apologising then. You're being fair to Boyd, ArabMatt. Maybe I'm being unfair to him. But that's the side of me he brings out...

ArabMatt
26-09-2009, 01:41
thats the side of me he usually brings out though, and i dont get why in that instance i chose to defend him - in a way...

am i able to take it back? :)

I think it's because you've got the core of the bigots all in the one place and not spread out over 50,000 seats, away supports are the diehards and unfortunately in the OF case this means mostly hardcore bigots.

Just a thought, but regarding sectarian songs or chants, maybe the Rangers away support is worse than the home support, though smaller in number, because those predisposed to singing sectarian songs, etc., know there's less chance of being identified - on CCTV for example - than there is at Ibrox.

I know Celtic fans who can't believe what their sectarian loonies get away with at away games because they don't get away with it at Celtic Park. Begs the question if their own team throw them out for it why don't we?

Stewards and police **** themselves from the OF that's why, several thousand OF fans seem to intimidate them more than other teams fans.

Prob a combination of both, or are you suggesting all 50,000 of their Ibrox supporters are hardcore bigots. :)

think a lot of it will also be to do with the whole "away game" attitude that scottish football fans seem to have...

make a day of it, sing your heart out for 90 mins, start drinking from about 8am, etc etc.

and OF fans + lots of drink = bigoted drivel, unfortunately!
