probably wasnt mollycoddled as a kid..folk saw his talent and pushed him to the levels hes reached...now folk would probably frown upon him being so good

He’s the best example of a sportsman I can think of. Throughout his career, he’s thought about his weaknesses and done something about them. Outmuscled by some of the tour’s bigger guys - bulk up in the gym. Need to address not winning grand slams - get Lendl in. Need a change of mental approach as you age - get Mauresmo. Fall to bits - get a new hip and find new ways to get around your reduced mobility.
I still play with ex pro footballers and there are very few that aren’t totally ****ed physically. They can generally only manage a game a week on grass. To still be playing at any kind of level after what his joints have been through is incredible.
