Celtic are being tipped to run away with things in double quick time but Im no so sure. Theyll win the league of course but things will be alot tighter than people reckon as clubs wont be losing the 8-12points they so often do against Rangers so that should close the gap between Celtic and the rest

    Indeed, a much missed point.

Got salted for suggesting this a few month back.
It's also entirley possible that say United are fairly dominant and only lose 5 matches in the season.
If Celtic then lost 6 or lost 5 and had a worse goal difference, who would be champions?

Celtic always lose and draw totally random matches in the season (as did Rangers), it's whether they do it more often than one of the "diddies".

Of course Celtic regularly dropped points against Rangers too, and they won't be doing that any more. So the difference it makes won't be huge.

    Aye, closer to Knockhill.

I don't see there being 5 clubs "going for 2nd"

Motherwell are seriously off the boil so far, Hearts? Who knows.

No reason 1 team could dominate "the race for 2nd" and find themselves 1st.

And that is what is going to make this season very interesting, no one has a clue which of the 2 it's going to be.

This thread has run for a little over a week under 11 months and tonight, on the eve of a new season, I think it's right and proper it be laid to rest.

May tomorrow be the start of a new dawn for Scottish football. Or something.
"The soul of a club is the product of its history and the history of a club is a product of those who toil in its cause with their hearts on their sleeve as well as the badge on their chest, who play with an awareness of where they are and in whose footsteps they tread."
