Well, drop in here Seve before you hit the Dignitas clinic, as this is where they are based.

We can watch a test match over a bland Swiss lager to get you in the mood.

Played for the rocky about 84/85 as it was something to do...played Dundee high on the cricket pitch on Arbroath road ...and were all out so quickly we got the same bus home that had dropped us all off about 20 mins earlier

I find cricket to be extremely boring, thank **** my school never had a team. Couldn't even give a **** that Scotland beat England, didn't even know they were playing them until I saw something on Twitter.

But once you have played it and watched enough to learn the subtleties, rules, tactics etc it can be quite addicting. I was like that with cricket back in the day. Even in test matches when Boycott and Tavare were scoring about 1 run every 3 overs, if you knew the game you appreciated they were just trying to tire the bowlers, take the shine off the ball and pave the way for Gower etc to come in and start scoring. But to someone that did not appreciate this and watched for an hour, it could seem really dull.

The T20 and limited-overs games have addressed the need for more instant gratification in sport, and society, so cricket has adapted quite well.

In India, a country of a billion folk, no wee boy wants to be Messi or Ronaldo, they all want to be the next Tendulkar.
I just remember the tours being even more mental than the Scottish ones in the World Cup back in the day, snorting cocaine, booze and orgies with the likes of Botham off his ****, that was certainly more fun for the players than playing cricket. Now if I kent you could get up to that sort of stuff playing cricket i'd have taken it a bit more seriously at school.

I often don't know myself so probably not.

I don't know what I was trying to say there.
