    i take it one of the horses that fell at the 1st today was put down.....why? it probably broke its leg...put a ****ing cast on it and just let it live....or is it a case its not running anymore its no value to us anymore kill it..

    Would have to be kept in a sling to keep the weight off of it, not practical unfortunately although it has been done in the past

    A horse with a broken leg is usually killedbecause it's very difficult for the broken leg of a horse to heal correctly. Also, because the blood circulation in a horse is dependent on its hooves, keeping a horse still for a long period of time in order for its bone to heal is a huge risk to its life.
