    its a great course but a hell of a lot tighter than piper one or 2 shots you'd normally get away with ended up in the trees...also struggled on the greens as they were much faster and in a better condition as to what we're used to this season.

    I played Alyth about 5/6 weeks ago and it was in pretty good condition I thought.

    It is a great course. Not too long, not too short. You need every type of shot to get round so a test for the good players and not too hard on the hackers.

    It's the course that got me into golf. I didn't take up golf until my early 40's about 5 years or so after I stopped playing football.

    I still have a good few friends who are members there so can still get a game relatively cheaply.
